"A Catholic Parish Family"
Catholic Pro-Life Mission
"We proclaim that human life is a precious gift from God; that each person who receives this gift has responsibilities toward God, self and others; and that society, through its laws and social institutions, must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence." (U.S. Catholic Bishops, Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities, November 2001). This proclamation applies to all areas of the life of the human person, including but not limited to abortion, stem-cell research, and euthanasia/assisted suicide.
Four Pillars of Pro-Life Ministry
St. Joseph Catholic Church affirms the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB's) PASTORAL PLAN FOR PRO-LIFE ACTIVITIES. This document calls upon all the resources of the church to pursue pro-life ministry with commitment in four major areas/pillars: 1) public information and education, 2) pastoral care, 3) public policy, and 4) prayer and worship.
